He's about to be elected,
Some believe it's quite expected,
'though he's hardly been in Congress for any length of time.
But the folks are wildly cheering,
At the messages they're hearing,
From that charismatic talker with the very strange name!
He sounds so very appealing
With his thoughts on racial healing,
That the others in the race don't stand a chance.
But what exactly are we hearing?
Why are so many people cheering?
For that charismatic talker with the very strange name.
He is doing very nicely
With his funding, and precisely
Just why is it that his wife causes so much grief and pain?
She's successful and she knows it
On tv and mags she shows it
For that charismatic talker with the very strange name.
His mentors are erratic.
And have caused a lot of static.
Many people are concerned about the racist claims.
But they're thrown under the bus now,
And there's not quite so much fuss now,
With that charismatic talker with the very strange name.
Will he be the next world leader
Or an academic reader?
It will, of course, depend upon the US vote.
But his chances are abundant
As the others are redundant.
That charismatic talker with the very strange name.
Can he show he knows his history?
Which to date is quite a mystery.
His blunders have established a brand new "low".
Will he solve the global issues ?
Or will we need a box of tissues?
For that charismatic talker with the very strange name.
Let all those anchors give him heaps
As this is not a race for creeps,
He'll have to show he has the guts to do this job.
Will he get the best advisors
Or old policy re-visers?
That charismatic talker with the very strange name.
We all want some peace and quiet,
We have had enough of riot.
Will he tame the Middle East before it all goes up in smoke?
Is it something quite achievable?
Or is he simply not believable?
That charismatic talker with the very strange name.
Yes that name sure is a combo,
Of despot and jihad "drongo"*.
Who knows, it might even be mad enough to work?
Will we get another attack
While being ruled by ole' Barack?
That charismatic talker with the very strange name!
Guess we'll wait until November,
Let's hope people will remember
Just what it takes to be a leader in these troubled times.
Will he wing it, will he make it?
Can this planet really take it?
